Author Information

Jorge Magasich Airola is Professor of Latin American History at the Institut des Hautes Etudes des Communications Sociales (HECS) in Brussels, and is the author of numerous works on Latin American history and on North-South relations. He is the editor of a collective volume entitled Chili, pays laboratoire (Brussels, 1998).  Jean-Marc de Beer is Professor at the Institut de Radio électricité et de Cinématographie (INRACI) in Brussels. For six years he presented a programme on Latin cultures for the Free University's radio station. Several visits to Latin America have allowed him to carry out the in-depth research necessary for this project.
