Series

Anthem Studies in Renaissance Literature and Culture seeks to explore how early modern literature offers opportunities to re-examine current political, religious, and environmental concerns. This series includes both re-readings of key concerns of the early modern period such as religion, visual arts, and humanism as well as innovative approaches to Renaissance literature as studied in the context of the contemporary world. Through inventive approaches to early modern studies attentive to critical and cultural theories, interfaith dialogues, and inquiries about the post- or non-human, the series seeks to provide cutting-edge answers to new questions about the cultural rebirth in the 14th to 17th centuries.
